Officers were at a scene at East 151st Street and Harvard Avenue for a homicide investigation.
Police reported a 25-year-old man was shot in the chest and an 18-year-old man was shot in the hand.
The man shot in the chest was pronounced dead at University Hospitals, Cleveland police said.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene.
No further information was released.
