A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was shot by two suspects.
Officers responded to the 15000 block of Glencoe Avenue for a man shot.
When police arrived, they found the man with gunshot wounds to his neck and abdomen.
The man told police he was walking to an address on Glencoe Avenue from the corner store when two black men approached him with guns drawn and told him not to move.
The man said the suspects went through his pockets, realized he had no money, and proceeded to pistol whip him.
Police reported the man said he fought back, pushing one suspect and then he heard multiple gunshots. The suspects fled on foot.
Police said the victim, identified as 25-year-old Evan A. Russo, of Willoughby, was taken to University Hospitals where he was confined with serious injuries.
The suspects were described as two black men, ages 13-16, both thin and wearing dark clothing and ski masks.
