CLEVELAND — A mother and her ex-boyfriend will each spend the next several years behind bars for a toddler's death.
Tessa Gadd, 26, and John Hines Jr., 34, were sentenced Tuesday morning to four years in prison.
In September, Gadd and Hines pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter and endangering children, according to Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas Court Records.
They were both indicted in 2018 following the overdose death of Gadd's 2-year-old child.
Lethal amounts of several drugs were found in the boy's body, including an indication he had ingested cocaine. Court records also state that the boy had a large amount of cough medication and Benadryl in his system.
