Cleveland Police are investigating after a baby girl was found dead in the driveway of a home in the 2200 block of West 73rd Street.
Police were called to the home around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.
When they arrived, police found a 39-year-old woman who was being treated for a suspected overdose.
While at the scene, police learned the woman recently gave birth and the baby might be nearby.
Police found the child inside a cloth shopping bag in the driveway.
The baby was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was transported to the hospital.
The Medical Examiner's Office has reported the death as a suspected homicide.
