CLEVELAND - UPDATE: Power has been restored.
About 1,600 people are without power amid freezing temperatures in Cleveland's Old Brooklyn neighborhood.
Cleveland Public Power officials said they are working to restore power to the affected customers.
"We understand that it is extremely cold today, and our customers are our primary concern. We are working as quickly as possible to get everyone back online again," a CPP spokesperson said.
The company did not release an estimate as to how long the repairs are expected to take.
