CLEVELAND — Developers with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have proposed an expansion that could be great for patrons of the museum and the Great Lakes Science Center.
The rock museum is seeking a renewable lease on an acre of city-owned land that separates the museum from the science center.
According to the museum, attendance has grown to nearly 600,000 visitors per year.
The Rock Hall wants to add classrooms, event spaces and additional exhibit space to the museum.
The project won’t obstruct views of Lake Erie and the Rock Hall does not plan to ask the city for money, according to the expansion packet from the museum.
The proposed expansion would cost more than $30 million.
