CLEVELAND — After celebrating five years of service in Cleveland, Spirit Airlines will be adding more nonstop flights at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, with a select nonstop flight to Cancun coming in February.

The airline announced its addition of more domestic flights at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Thursday, with nonstop service to Cancun, Mexico, beginning Feb. 14. The airline started with only three nonstop destinations in 2015 to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Orlando, Fla. and Tampa, Fla. It expanded to provide seven additional domestic flights from 2015 to 2017.

As we look to the future, we look forward to serving and expanding to regions to come," said John Kirby, Spirit Airline's Vice President of Network Planning.

Some of the changes coming to Cleveland for 2020 include:

  • New service to Cancun International Airport (CUN)
  • Additional daily flights to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Orlando, Fla., Las Vegas, Nev. and Myrtle Beach, S.C
