CLEVELAND — A 15-year-old boy who shot and killed an 11-year-old at a birthday party last year has been sentenced to juvenile prison.
According to authorities, the teen received six months on a reckless homicide charge and three years for a gun specification.
The shooting happened in November 2019 near the 1800 block of East 97th Street and Chester Avenue.
The resident of the apartment told police that she had allowed her 16-year-old son to host a birthday party. She said left to go to a nearby store and the shooting happened while she was gone.
The victim, 11-year-old Tyshaun Taylor, was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
