A 17-year-old girl was shot at a Subway restaurant on Cleveland's West side Friday night.

According to Cleveland police, two armed suspects barged into the Subway restaurant on Memphis Ave. around 9:15 p.m.

One suspect had a revolver and the other had possibly an AR-15, police said.

One of the suspects demanded the male employee to empty all of the money from the register before going into the back of the store and grabbing the cash box.

Police said during the incident the one of the suspects opened fire on the 17-year-old female employee.

According to Cleveland EMS, she was transported from the scene to MetroHealth hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

The teen was released from the hospital Saturday morning and is recovering at home.

The suspects also took a purse from a customer inside the store before fleeing on foot.
