A 49-year-old woman was killed Saturday night in Cleveland after another driver ran a red light and crashed into her vehicle, according to authorities.
Police said the woman, later identified as Shirley Duncan-Barnes, of Maple Heights, was exiting the westbound lane of the Lee Harvard Plaza Shopping Center around 11:25 p.m. when her car was hit by a 2005 Chrysler heading northbound through the intersection.
The other driver ran a red light and hit Duncan-Barnes' vehicle head on, causing her car to collide with a nearby building, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still searching for the suspect driver.
