A body was found in the 1100 block of Ford Road Thursday afternoon.
According to Elyria police, the individual was found near a wooded area.
Saturday, the Lake County Coroner's Office confirmed the deceased's identity as 55-year-old Walter Moody Jr.
The Elyria Police put out a missing person's case on Moody this past September. The case stated that his family had not been in contact with him since late August 2023.
Elyria police and the Lorain County Coroner's office are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
