MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Madison Township man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 2018.
The defendant, Michael C. Brown, pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual battery, a second-degree felony, in February.
He was arrested following an investigation last November after the Madison Township Police Department received a tip about a sex offense involving a child.
On March 2, 2020, Brown was ordered to serve his sentence at the Lorain Correctional Institution and register as a Tier III Sex Offender.
