News 5 is proud to announce it is the winner of four Regional Murrow Awards for news excellence. These awards are among the most prestigious in journalism, and we are honored to receive them.

In June 2017, our crews witnessed a car crash that happened moments after a domestic violence assault. They called 911 and learned just how slow Cleveland Police are to respond, especially to domestic violence cases. It took officers hours to show up. That sparked a two-year mission to follow one domestic abuse case from beginning to end.
