JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 7-month-old girl was among three people ejected from a horse drawn buggy during a crash involving a Ford F-150 in Ashland County, according to a release.

The crash happened on Tuesday at about 5:49 p.m. on U.S. Route 42, just south of mile post 19 in Ashland County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the F-150 was traveling northbound on US Route 42 when it struck the rear end of the buggy.

The 51-year-old driver of the buggy and a 23-year-old passenger sustained serious injuries. The third passenger, a 7-month-old girl, was uninjured but was transported to the hospital for precautionary measures.

The driver, a 40-year-old man from Ashland, was uninjured and stayed at the scene of the crash.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
