ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio — The Ashtabula Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a 56-year-old man on Wednesday night.
The crash happened at around 11:45 p.m. near the intersection of Corrigan and Murphy roads in Hartsgrove Township.
The motorcycle, driven by Daniel L. King, 56, was traveling southeast on Leggett Road in Geauga County, approaching the Ashtabula County line on Murphy Road.
Troopers said the motorcycle braked before entering a curve at the intersection, causing it to overturn and veer off the right side of the road.
King was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
