Two men have been arrested for allegedly shooting a 54-year-old woman who was sitting inside her car in North Ridgeville earlier this month, according to police.
The alleged shooter, 20-year-old Christian Donovan Martinez of Lorain, was arrested on Jan. 5 by North Ridgeville police for an unrelated outstanding domestic violence warrant. He was charged with attempted murder and felonious assault.
His alleged accomplice, 21-year-old Jonathon Damire Barnette of Lorain, was arrested in Lorain on Thursday by police. Barnette was charged with complicity to commit attempted murder and complicity of felonious assault.
The woman who was shot was found in the driver's seat of her Lexus on Jan. 4 at an intersection about a mile from where she worked at Invacare. Both Martinez and Barnette were working as temporary employees at a nearby business.
Police said they are unaware of any connection or direct link between the victim and the two men.
