Willoughby police arrested a 21-year-old man after he stabbed his father while the two were fighting.

Officers responded to At Witz End bar on Lakeshore Boulevard around 2:21 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a fight in the street. Police found Mitchell Hodgins and his 49-year-old father, Michael Hodgins walking south on Lost Nation Road after the pair was kicked out of the bar.

Michael Hodgins was bleeding from his left hand, arm and face, according to police.

Authorities say the two were at the At Witz End bar and were asked to leave shortly before the incident. They walked across the street and began arguing about an unknown topic.

The argument turned into a physical fight, leading to Michell Hodgins pulling out a knife and stabbing his father several times in the left hand and left arm, according to police.

Michael Hodgins was treated by the Willoughby Fire & Rescue personnel and then taken to Hillcrest Hospital for further treatment.

Mitchell Hodgins was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence.
