VALLEY VIEW — A 25-year-old Georgia man died in a motorcycle crash on the Valley View Bridge Thursday night, according to a release from the Cleveland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded at around 9:04 p.m. to I-480 eastbound on the Valley View Bridge to a crash.
Investigators learned Kevin Finch, 25, of Augusta, Georgia, was operating a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle on I-480 eastbound on the Valley View Bridge when he veered off the left side of the road, struck a concrete barrier and was ejected off the bike.
Finch, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said the events that led up to the crash are still under investigation, but high speed is believed to be a factor.
I-480 eastbound was closed for about 2.5 hours as a result of the crash.
