Three people were transported to the hospital Sunday after a carbon monoxide incident in North Olmsted
At around 10 a.m., North Olmsted firefighters were called to a home in the 25100 block of Fawn Drive for report of a CO alarm activation.
The residents thought the alarm sounded due to a bad battery. The family changed the battery, but the alarm still beeped.
The residents then called 911. Firefighters arrived to find the CO levels were high in the home.
Paramedics transported three residents to local hospitals in stable condition, according to fire responders.
Officials offered tips to homeowners and renters. When you're ever in doubt - leave the house immediately and let firefighters check it out.
