Bay Village police investigating homicide/suicide

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Local and state authorities responded to a Bay Village home Saturday afternoon after a resident reported hearing "popping sounds" and officers later found two people dead inside the residence from a homicide/suicide.

The incident happened in the 25000 block of Wolf Road.

According to Bay Village police, officers responded to the home just before 12:30 p.m. after a neighbor reported seeing smoke and hearing popping sounds coming from a home across the street.

While checking the home, police said that they found two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The two deceased were identified as the homeowners, Marilyn Sue O’Donnell, 65, and Frank Robert Muller, 66.

The investigation revealed Muller shot O’Donnell several times before shooting himself.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations was called in to help process the scene.

Police said that there was no danger to the public.
