BEREA, Ohio — All Terra the pit bull terrier wants for Christmas is a home.

Terra is 5-years-old and spent the last three in a shelter.

"Since Terra has been with us for so long we would all be extremely grateful and happy for her to have a home of her own. She is very special to us all. I would personally miss her more than you know but a shelter is no place for a dog to spend their life," Berea Animal Fund Rescue Shelter Manager Amy Fischer said.

She would do best in a home with no other pets and has been trained to sit, walk on a leash, come when called, goes to the bathroom outside and does well in a kennel.

Terra loves to go for walks and play but she also enjoys cuddling up with her human on the couch or in bed.

Fischer said that Terra is a sweet dog but does have some reservations.

"She is absolutely lovable with women and children but can be choosy about her men friends. I have been working with her and she has done well and has excepted most of the men she meets," Fischer said.

Berea Animal Rescue Fund is located at 390 Barrett Road in Berea.

They are open from 3:30-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. on the weekends.
