INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — A bond has been set for a man accused of killing an 83-year-old man during an alleged road rage incident in Independence.
On Monday, a judge set a $3 million bond for Cronie Lloyd, 48, who has been charged with murder, according to authorities.
Lloyd has a history of violent crime, according to jail records. In 1991, he was sent to prison on rape, aggravated burglary and robbery charges. He was released in 2016.
Authorities say the altercation leading up to Power’s death followed a minor fender bender at an Independence gas station on Rockside Road on Sunday February 3.
The victim, Gary Power, of Fairview Park, was taken off life support last week.
Lloyd is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 18 at 9:45 a.m. at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
