Cleveland man wanted for allegedly raping child arrested by US Marshals in West Virginia

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia — On Tuesday, authorities arrested a man in West Virginia wanted by the Cleveland Police Department for raping a child under 13 years old over a multiple month period, according to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Law enforcement discovered John Hauserman, 22, fled the Cleveland area and was living near southern Ohio and was possibly in West Virginia.

On Monday, he was arrested in a shopping center parking lot in the 3300 block of US 6 Huntington in West Virginia.

Hauserman will remain in the Cabell County Jail in West Virginia until he can be extradited back to Cleveland.
