CLEVELAND — Cleveland’s annual holiday tree arrived at Public Square on Monday at around 9:30 a.m. ahead of the Winterfest event taking place on Nov. 30.
The tree was placed on the north side of Public Square before the annual holiday event.
A local family donated the 48-foot-tall spruce after Downtown Cleveland Alliance put out a call for holiday tree donations. The tree will serve as a centerpiece of Winterfest and downtown neighborhood, and it will feature lights and decorations from Downtown Cleveland Alliance, GE lighting and Cleveland Public Power, with the lights installed by IBEW Local 38.
Winterfest will celebrate the start of the season on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. following a complete day of family friendly activities starting at 1 p.m.
