Posted

After the tragic passing of Euclid High School football player, Andre Jackson, the school announced Monday that Jackson would be honored at their homecoming game this Friday.

Euclid Schools released this statement:

The outpouring of prayers and support to the Euclid Schools, community, and the Jackson family has been tremendous. We are sincerely grateful for the calls, emails, text messages, and social media posts. We will ensure that the Jackson family receives all of the kind sentiments shared.

Friday night's homecoming game will be played as scheduled with a 7:00 pm start time at the Sparky DiBiasio Stadium. There will be a moment of silence and balloon release prior to the start of the game.

We continue to ask for your cooperation and respect as we grieve this tragic loss. We will continue to keep you updated as information becomes available.

Jackson, who was a junior at Euclid High School, died Sunday after sustaining injuries from last Friday's game against Solon High School.
