The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and Cuyahoga County sheriff's deputies hit the streets very early Tuesday morning. They were armed with 68 search warrants for convicted sex offenders who failed to register their address with the sheriff's department or gave wrong address information.

"Many of these offenders are doing everything they can to keep from having to register," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Bill Boldin.

Roughly 60 law enforcement officers covered four counties searching for the convicted sex offenders. "Sex offenders who are supposed to be registering where they reside have failed to register or are not living where they claimed to be living," added Boldin.

So far, 12 convicted sex offenders have been located. Eleven have been arrested according to Boldin. Police found the other had been deported and therefore will not face charges.
