BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio — A large fire destroyed a barn storage center filled with heavy equipment for Rosby Resource Recovery Center in Brooklyn Heights on Tuesday, according to Brooklyn Heights Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to a structure fire at 5:22 a.m. at 50 East Schaaf Road in Brooklyn Heights Tuesday.
AirTracker 5 was over the scene Tuesday.
The industrial machinery repair shop was housed in a barn. The fire destroyed the building and all the contents inside, according to the Brooklyn Heights Fire Department.
There's is no estimate on the cost of the damage yet. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
One firefighter from the Cuyahoga Heights Fire Department was injured from a slip on the ice. No other injuries were reported.
A total of six other departments helped put out the fire.
Rosby Companies operated several businesses including a recycling business and a garden center that is closed for the season.
