Officers arrested Maurice "Jason" Sinkfield in Euclid Sunday after four separate dangerous car escapes that included him ramming a U.S. Marshal's car, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Sinkfield, 33, a two-time U.S. Marshals' fugitive of the week, was originally wanted for a 2015 probation violation that stemmed from weapon offenses, the Marshals said.
"We will pursue violators to the end of the earth," U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said. "Sinkfield is lucky that there aren't eight days in the week, our team would have pursued him then too."
Sinkfield was eventually tracked down in the 25000 block of Tungsten Avenue Sunday, where he was arrested. Officers recovered a firearm and ammunition during the arrest, according to the Marshals Service.
Prior to capture, during a previous escape, Sinkfiled had rammed a U.S. Marshals' car on March 21 in Euclid and eluded officials again, according to the Marshals. He heavily damaged two cars, Marshals said.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force's Painesville and Cleveland divisions arrested Sinkfield Sunday after a break in the case this weekend. Officers secured tips that led them to an apartment complex in the area of East 260th Street and Euclid Avenue, the Marshals said.
