A 51-year-old inmate was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive in her cell at the Beachwood City Jail Tuesday.
Beachwood police said the woman was found unresponsive around 10:30 p.m.
Beachwood paramedics were called and transferred the woman to University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.
The identity of the prisoner has not yet been released.
