JCPenney hiring dozens of licensed stylists and cosmetology students in the Parma area

PARMA, Ohio — Are you a licensed stylist or cosmetology student in need of a job? You may be in luck. JCPenny is hiring dozens in the Parma area.

The company is hiring around 6,000 individuals nationwide, with 65 positions available in the Parma area, according to a news release.

On March 4, the company will host a hiring day event at the JCPenney located at the Shoppes at Parma, 7900 Day Drive, Parma, the release states.

The event will also feature a free hands-on class taught by salon education managers about Foilayage, Color Mélange or Pastellics, the release states. Space is limited.

According to the news release, "highly experienced stylists" who are hired by the company can take advantage of the following:

  • Up to 70 percent commission
  • No booth rental fees
  • Up to $1,000 bonus based on performance and flexible scheduling
  • Paid professional training
  • Health benefits for full-time stylists
  • Paid time off
  • 401K eligibilty
  • 25 percent JCPenney associate discount
