A 24-year-old Cleveland man pleaded no contest on Wednesday to two counts of telephone harassment in connection with threats made against a local synagogue in January. He was found guilty of the charge, according to Shaker Heights Municipal Court documents.
Abdulrahman Abulkhalil had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to authorities, a man called and left harassing messages at the University Heights Jewish Center Synagogue, 14270 Cedar Road. on Jan. 21.
Rabbi Raphael Davidovich, Mara d’Asra said on the temple's website that the messages were "both disturbing and anti-Semitic."
Abulkhalil will be sentenced at a later date.
