Two people have been indicted in connection with a dog attack that killed a 71-year-old woman in Shaker Heights last year.

Bobbie Green and her son Leon Morton are facing reckless homicide and involuntary manslaughter charges.

Annie Williams, 71, was going to pick up her great-grandaughters from a home on Pennington Road in July when a pit bull ran from the porch and started biting her, according to court documents.

As she was trying to get away, she fell to the ground. The dog then began biting her on the head and neck.

Police said the two girls, ages 7 and 8, witnessed the attack from the window.

Williams was taken to South Pointe Hospital where she later died.

Police said they shot and killed the dog later that day.

Green and Morton are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 26.
