Police investigating several shootings Friday night in Cleveland

Police investigated several shootings Friday night on the east side of Cleveland, including a homicide.

The first shooting occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the 13600 block of Rugby Avenue. Cleveland police says a 25-year-old man was shot multiple times in his legs and buttocks. He was transported to University Hospital, where he later died.

Ahron Williams, a 22-year-old black man, was arrested and treated for gunshot wounds to his leg at MetroHealth Medical Center. Another juvenile was arrested in connection to the shooting.

Then around 7:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and ankle. Police say the victim was found in the 13700 block of Deise Avenue and was transported to University Hospital in critical condition. Cleveland police are trying to determine if this shooting is connected to Rugby.

Two more shooting victims were found at around 8 p.m. in the 4800 block of Quincy Avenue. Police say both men were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition after being shot multiple times in the chest and abdomen.
