FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio — Police are looking for a man who fought with a police officer after he was allegedly caught stealing meat from Earth Fare in Fairview Park.

Since February, authorities say undercover officers have been conducting surveillance of the store following multiple thefts from the store’s meat department totaling more than $1,000.

On Tuesday, an undercover officer stopped Anthony G. Paradise, 49, of Cleveland, during a theft in progress. The officer and Paradise fought, but Paradise was able to break away and flee, authorities said.

According to police, Paradise has a prior history of felonious assault, kidnapping and robbery and is currently wanted on multiple warrants, both in Fairview Park and other jurisdictions.

Paradise stands about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs around 225 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Paradise is asked to call Fairview Park police at 440-333-1234.
