BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio — On a chilly Thursday morning, residents and their pets made an escape from their burning home.
Bedford Heights fire and police responded at around 4 a.m. to the 24600 block of Oak Drive.
Video from News 5's overnight news photographer showed smoke coming from the house as firefighters worked to put out the flames.
Police assisted the residents with taking the pets from the home. Police took a bird inside a cage, along with other pets, to the cruiser.
No further information on the cause of the fire was released.
