A second suspect has been arrested in the August murder of a 24-year-old Lyndhurst native in Washington, D.C.

Matt Shlonsky, 23, was shot and killed in the Shaw neighborhood Aug. 15 near the Shaw-Howard University Metro Station.

Andre Dudley, 19, of Northeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with second degree murder on Dec. 10, Washington, D.C. police report.

According to ABC7 in Washington D.C., another suspect, 19-year-old Marcus King, turned himself in to police days after Shlonsky's death. He is charged with second degree murder while armed.

The Washington Post reported “there was no indication that [Shlonsky] was the intended target of the startling flurry of late afternoon gunfire in Shaw."

Shlonsky interned for Sen. Rob Portman in Washington from January to May of 2013, officials told newsnet5.com.

A media release from the Metropolitan Police Department indicated Shlonsky was living in Northeast Washington.
