INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Surveillance video released by Independence police Wednesday shows the moment when a Cleveland resident was carjacked in the parking lot of Top Golf last week.
The video shows a woman walking to her vehicle when she was approached by two unknown males who drove off with her vehicle.
According to the police report, on June 13, the woman told police that as she walked to her car parked in the southern lot near the building, she was approached by two males who ran in front of her car, one of whom was holding a gun. They demanded that she hand over her car keys.
When the victim told them no, they threatened to shoot her. She handed over her car keys before she ran back to her friends who were still standing at the front doors of Top Golf.
At the time of the carjacking, the victim told police she had about $200 cash, her house keys, pepper spray and shoes inside the vehicle. The victim’s vehicle is a Hyundai Santa Fe, and it has a coat of paint missing on the front bumper and a small smudge near the gas tank.
Authorities have not announced any arrests in the case.
