A man is recovering Tuesday morning after launching his SUV into the air and landing on top of two semi trucks in Maple Heights.

Police were still investigating how the crash happened but marks in the grass suggest the man was heading eastbound on Dunbury Drive around 2 a.m. when he failed to stop at the intersection and crossed over Lee Road South. He went airborne over a fence in the woods and landed on top of the two semi-tractors parked in the parking lot of Sherwood Food Distributors.

Firefighters worked for a few minutes to stabilize the SUV before the man walked away from the crash talking on his phone.

One of the truck's cabs was nearly torn off the frame leaving behind just a mangled mess. The car was on its side and resting on its front bumper suspended between the two trucks.

The driver was transported to a local hospital by ambulance but no other information about the driver was released.
