A water main break at State Road and West Ridgewood Drive has closed down the area Monday, according to the Parma Fire Department.
Only one lane is open on State Road, Cleveland water said motorists may expect delays during rush hour.
Authorities predict the repairs will take most of the day.
Residents in the area are without water after the water pipe had a 12-inch break underground at around 10 a.m. Monday, according to the Cleveland Water Department.
The cause is undetermined at this time.
Water was shut off right before noon, Cleveland water said.
