WESTLAKE, Ohio — Westlake police arrested a man Thursday after he was spotted jumping a curb at The Promenade, driving over grass and heading the wrong way on Detroit Road near Crossings Parkway.
The driver, a 27-year-old man who has not been identified, was arrested around 9 p.m., according to Westlake police.
Authorities said that the driver told officers he had been drinking liquor but stopped a few minutes prior. The man's car was impounded and towed from the scene.
Once back at the department's jail, the man was given an alcohol test which showed he was more than 3.5 times over the legal limit to drive, police said.
