WESTLAKE, Ohio — A woman was transported from a crash after a tree fell onto her car while she was driving on Hilliard Boulevard in Westlake Monday morning, according to Westlake police.

Police responded at around 6:30 a.m. to 2434 Hilliard Boulevard after the female driver called the crash in herself.

A tree had fallen on top of her car while she was driving, which caused her to crash, police said.

Police said the woman in the car was transported from the scene. Her condition is currently unknown at this time.

Authorities said crews are responding to four other downed power lines.

Powerful winds have caused downed power lines and power outages across Northeast Ohio.
