An international exchange worker from Turkey was seriously injured in a hit-skip crash while riding her bike in Sandusky Sunday night.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Zaide Guler Narmanli was riding her bike on the sidewalk on the eastbound side of Camp Street around 10:26 p.m. As she entered the intersection at Pierce Street, she was hit by a vehicle.

The driver of that vehicle fled the scene.

Narmanli was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center and then flown to Mercy St. Vincent in Toledo with life threatening injuries.
