MENTOR, Ohio — All of the Mentor Public Library branches are closed Saturday while employees prep equipment to switch over to the CLEVNET library system.

Currently, Mentor's library system is part of SearchOhio. When the branches switch over to CLEVNET, Mentor libraries will join a group of 45 library systems across 12 counties, giving visitors access to more than 12 million items which they can borrow.

The actual switch over will happen on May 6, but certain systems needed prepped early.

According to the Mentor Public Library, visitors who access OverDrive, Hoopla and other digital media won't have to worry about an interuption or service change when the library system swaps over in May.

For a full list of what joining the CLEVNET system means, the Mentor Public Library has made a list of FAQs here.

The library will reopen on Sunday.
