LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — A blind dog has been transferred to the Lake Humane Society after spending three years in a Youngstown animal shelter.

Barklee is a 7-year-old pitbull mix.

Every week, the Humane Society takes Barklee on a field trip to help him experience new things.

Barklee has been to the beach, parks and the pet store.

The Humane Society is hosting a fundraiser at Longo's Pizza and Joey's Italian Grille locations from April 22-24 to help all dogs at the shelter, including Barklee.

One hundred percent of purchases involving large one-topping pizzas will be donated back to the shelter.

Participants must present the Pizza for Paws flyer at the time of their purchase.

Anyone interested in donating Barklee or participating in the fundraiser can click here.
