A Mentor elementary school was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a robbery and a brief police chase.
Mentor police said two men were placed in custody after they ran on foot from a traffic stop. The two men were wanted for a robbery in Willoughby, police said.
Hopkins Elementary School was on lockdown for about 45 minutes during the pursuit, school officials said.
As of 3:30 p.m., the lockdown was lifted.
The men were apprehended by officers and K-9 Units. One of the men is being treated for a dog bite wound and two police officers were injured during the arrests of the men.
The incident is still under investigation.
