Wickliffe police arrest 2 men after alleged meth deal

WICKLIFFE, Ohio — Wickliffe police have arrested two men after an alleged drug deal.

On Tuesday, detectives were conducting a drug investigation on Lakeland Boulevard and East 305th Street, when he saw two men engage in a hand to hand drug deal in a parking lot, according to police.

Detectives and police approached and arrested the men, one of whom was uncooperative and forced to the ground.

Police said there was a small amount of meth on one man and a larger amount of the drug and about $420 in cash on the other man.

A 43-year-old Euclid man was charged with possession of methamphetamine. A 26-year-old Madison man was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, tampering with evidence, possession of criminal tools and resisting arrest.

Police said in total, nearly one ounce of meth was seized.

Officials said in the last six months there has been a significant increased in meth related arrests.
