WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — Willoughby police announced they won't be enforcing overnight parking ordinances Wednesday to help prevent drunk driving.

The department said Thanksgiving Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year for bars, and they want to encourage safe celebrations.

Police will not be enforcing overnight parking ordinances to those vehicles left in or on any public lot or city street.

Officers will enforce other parking violations.
