A man attempted to abduct two young girls on Whitney Road in LaGrange Township Friday evening, according to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say a four-year-old girl was playing in her driveway with her seven-year-old sister when a black man driving a silver four door sedan pulled in the driveway. The driver reportedly offered the girls candy. When the girls declined, he got out of his car.
The man then grabbed the four-year-old to try and get her in his car, according to authorities. A family member noticed and walked outside to yell at the suspect to let go of his sister. The man got back in his car and drove away east toward Indian Hollow Road.
The suspect is described as a man of average height in his mid 20s or early 30s. He was wearing a red shirt and blue shorts. The witness says the car he was driving could possibly be a Honda, but is not certain.
