ELYRIA, Ohio — A man was rescued from a ledge in Cascade Park after falling around 30 to 40 feet, according to the Elyria Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to Cascade Park just before 6 p.m. Saturday and found a man lying halfway down an embankment.
After finding the man, firefighters set up a rope system to repel down the embankment to retrieve him, according to authorities.
The man was able to be lowered the rest of the way down the embankment to a roadway in the park. He was transported to UH St. John Medical Center by ambulance rather than by helicopter due to the weather.
The condition of the man is unknown.
