WELLINGTON, Ohio — A Wellington school staff member is being investigating after taking away a student's lunch.
Superintendent Ed Weber said a cafeteria worker took away the lunch from a student who had a debt of $6.40.
He said he ate lunch with the student on Thursday and apologized to the student on behalf of the district.
Weber said the actions the employee had taken are against policy and the district is investigating.
